Shawn Maxson has over 20 years experience in the insurance industry as a sales professional, spending most of her career in a multi-line agency. While handling both commercial and personal lines products, her primary focus is in large and small commercial accounts. She has a large client base of fast food franchises and restaurants as well as private and commercial day care facilities.
She is a representative of the Insurance Board, a denominational insurance program in the State of Illinois. She serves the Illinois Conference and Illinois South Conference of the United Church of Christ, Illinois/Wisconsin Region of the Disciples of Christ, and most recently the Great Rivers and Southeast Presbyteries of the Presbyterian USA . Her willingness to travel the state makes her representation within the industry a valuable asset to all she serves. She has worked closely with the McLean County Childcare Association, delivering educational and informational material to address the needs of day care providers.
Shawn is very active within the community. She has been a volunteer with the local Boys and Girls Club, providing assistance in the athletic program and has served as a committee leader with the Chatsworth Historical Society.
She obtained both the CISR and CPSR insurance designations in 1994.
